On the Road

I love being on the road. When I was a young guy I hitchhiked all over the country. I got to see a lot of the US. Though I don’t hitch anymore, I’ve gotten to see and travel through 49 states; I’ve never been to Alaska. This trip Barbara and I started in California, went through Nevada, saw some sights in Idaho, went through Wyoming, where we got a taste of the Grand Tetons, then went on to South Dakota. We stopped for a few days in the Custer area, where we saw a lot of wildlife, including bison, deer, prairie dogs, and more, the Chief Crazy Horse Monument, and the cemeteries of Lead and Deadwood. There’s quite a bit to do in the area and we could easily have spent several more days there.
