| Here are a few photos from the final half of the journey to India that Barbara and I took just about a year ago. We flew from Varanasi to see the Taj Mahal, which is worth going to Agra for, an otherwise un-notable city. We stayed just a day in Agra, and then on to Jaipur, stopping at Fatehpur Sikri and the incredible stepwell, Chand Baori, in the village of Abhaneri. In Jaipur we visited the old city, the Amer Fort, the Anokhi Museum of Hand Printing, and Jantar Mantar Observatory. Back in Delhi we went to the family farm of our driver one day, took the Saalaam Baalak Trust City Walk another, and went to the Jan Path Market on our last day there.

The Chand Baori stepwell was built between the 8th and 9th centuries. It goes down about 100 feet, 3500 steps. |
