Atrios has this to say: Endgame.
It's pretty apparent that the Bush-Cheney endgame, borne of desperation, involves 28 more days of an expensive lie campaign. I just watched an ad, approved by Jr., which was implying that John Kerry was trying to tax married people. This election is going to come down to whether truth or fiction prevails. In the last election, fiction did. Let's hope we, and our media, do better this time.

If you go to the web site that Cheney recommended last night during the debate, factcheck.com, you end up at George Soros' web site, and are greeted with the headline, "President Bush is endangering our safety, hurting our vital interests, and undermining American values." Nice goin' Dick(head).

An initiative on the Nov. 2 ballot would amend Colorado's Constitution, effective immediately, to scrap the winner-take-all allocation of electoral votes that 48 states now use. Instead, Colorado's nine electoral votes would be divided to reflect each candidate's share of the popular vote (rounded off to the closest electoral vote).

CNN reports: A majority of Americans believe Sen. John Kerry won the first presidential debate of the 2004 campaign, putting him in a virtual tie with President Bush, according to polls released Saturday by Newsweek and the Los Angeles Times.
